Project management 2: practical competences

1. Goal of the training

Only for Q-consultants. This course will provide you the necessary practical skills to manage your projects.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the course participants will be able to

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

o   Convince stakeholders (goals, budget, resources)

o   Negotiate

o   Work with the various stakeholders around the project

COMMUNICATION

o   Present your project on a clear way

o   Convince the organization or involved employees

o   Communicate for buy-in (example Kotter-model)

TEAM MANAGEMENT

o   Improve collaboration : Fry methodology

o   Manage your project team

CHANGE MANAGEMENT

o   Deal with resistance of change and convert resistance

Scope

Scope: Second PM training in our program, focussing on softskill development necessary to fullfill a project.

Out-of-scope:

  • PM1: Process of project management – The basics :
    • The training will be repeated in the coming years, but you can join PM2 if you do self-study & catch-up by reading the presentation:
  • PM3: PM Bok / Prince 2 for the senior consultants on individual basis
